$55 Million in Cocaine Was Just Discovered at a Coca-Cola Plant

( ANTIMEDIA )  Hundreds of kilos of cocaine were found in a Coca-Cola plant in France last Friday, making the seizure of the drug one of the largest ever on French soil. French officials say the cocaine was discovered in backpacks among a shipment of orange juice concentrate that originated in Costa Rica. The 370 kg of literal coke uncovered at the factory is reported to have a street value of €50 million Euros ($55m) and was referred to as a “very bad surprise” by a local prosecutor. Authorities are currently unaware of who was behind the cocaine, but an investigation is now underway in Signes, a village in the south of France. Employees of the plant have already been ruled out as suspects. “The first elements of the investigation have shown that employees are in no way involved,” according to Jean-Denis Malgras, the regional president of Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola was originally called Pemberton’s French Wine Coca and contained a mixture of Peruvian coca leaves, kola nut, damiana,

4 Proven Ways (That Aren’t Meditation) To Help Conquer All Forms Of Anxiety collective-evolution

Image
According to the  National Institute of Mental Health , anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States, affecting approximately 40 million Americans over the age of 18. Whether being triggered by something specific such as travel, school, work, or by a particular time of day, such as first thing in the morning or late at night, anxiety seems to have cemented itself into our modern world. As an occasional anxiety sufferer myself, punctuated by a very prominent bout with it in 2014, I’ve read my fair share of material relating to the subject. The most common tool recommended is meditation, something that I am personally a huge fan of, but not when it comes to conquering panic and/or anxiety. In my experience with it, anxiety is far too engaging with the mind and body to make even the idea of sitting or lying still seem at all possible. In conversation with other anxiety sufferers, I’ve discovered that I’m not alone in this experience, so I am here to share w

Use This Vitamin To Repel Mosquitoes All Summer Long collective-evolution

Summer isn’t only about sun-kissed cheeks and deep talks by the fire. It’s also a great time to get re-acquainted with our longtime nemesis, the mosquito. It isn’t until we have a few itchy bites on our skin that we remember to take out the bug spray and citronella to protect ourselves from these mini vampires. But if you’re anything like me and would rather go the natural route, then thiamine (also known as Vitamin B1 ) may be your new best friend, since DEET is a toxic chemical. Thiamine An essential vitamin that can be found in foods such as brown rice, asparagus, kale, and legumes, thiamine is also water soluble, as all B vitamins are, which means that the body expels it through urine rather than storing it — no need to worry about taking too much. It’s also fantastic for the nervous system. Thiamine is sometimes called an “ anti-stress ” vitamin because it may strengthen the immune system and improve the body’s ability to withstand stressful conditions. Individuals who have

7 Remedies For Sciatica Pain You Need To Try Before Taking Painkillers collective-evolution

Body aches and pains can be both a nuisance as well as totally debilitating — especially when it comes to sciatica. Comprising pain that affects the back, hip, and outer side of the leg, caused by compression of a spinal nerve root in the lower back, sciatica is often the result of the degeneration of an intervertebral disk. Whether you’re an avid athlete, work on your feet all day, or simply recognize the necessity of moving regularly for your health, it can be a total mental and physical setback when a mild ache and numbness or a sharp, burning pain affects the body. It may even cause you to stay in bed, constantly reaching for the ibuprofen or some other over-the-counter medication to alleviate the symptoms. But if you’re sick of succumbing to popping pills, and simply want to treat the inflammation and relieve the pain, you’ll be glad to know there are plenty of natural ways you can do so. Here are seven to take advantage of: 1. Acupuncture An alternative treatment that involv

‘Ring Of Fire’ Solar Eclipse In Virgo: This Is What’s Going On! collective-evolution

Image
We are having a power annular Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 1st, days after Mercury went retrograde in the same sign. It will be clearly visible in Central Africa and partially in Southern Africa. The peak will occur at 9:03am Universal Time but will begin just under 3 hours beforehand. Whether or not it will be visible from your location, its astrological significance will be reflected throughout the entire world as all eclipses and planetary configurations do. This type of eclipse (annular) is commonly referred to as a ‘Ring of Fire’ because when it is in its totality, the Sun’s light forms the lit up edges, appearing as a ring. This is due to the Moon being close to its Node and apogee, which is when it is farthest from the Earth. During a Total Eclipse, the Moon is also close to the Node, but instead at its perigee, which is when it is closer to the Earth and appears bigger. Solar Eclipses are very potent New Moons that generally happen every 6 months. Astrologically this

Protesters Swarm Pipeline Firm After Corps of Engineers Proves Native Americans Were Right

Bismarck, ND — Earlier this month, a few dozen Native Americans showed up to protest the $3.8 billion, 1,172-mile-long pipeline that would cross right through their sacred land. As word spread, however, the few dozen turned into more than 4,000 native Americans. Because of the large turnout, a brief victory ensued for the people after the developers of the four-state oil pipeline  agreed to halt construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline until after a federal hearing. Before the hearing started, however, North Dakota homeland security director Greg Wilz ordered the removal of state-owned trailers and water tanks from the protest encampment, despite the sweltering heat, because of alleged disorderly conduct. In spite of the government clamping down on them, the protesters remained vigilant. And, on Friday, they saw another victory. The Army Corps of Engineers confirmed that Energy Transfer Partners, the company constructing the Dakota Access Pipeline, does not have a written easeme

Native Protesters Proven Right: No Written Easement for Dakota Access Pipeline

( CCN )  In the wake of hundreds of people continuously protesting beginning several weeks ago, Energy Transfer Partners, the company attempting to construct the Dakota Access Pipeline, stopped work at the building site just north of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. The number of protesters has swelled to over 4000 as many tribes have united to protect the land and water from contamination. KFYRTV  reports, “ The Army Corps of Engineers has confirmed that the company doesn’t have a written easement from the agency to build on Corps property. A corps spokesperson says that Energy transfer has filed the paperwork for the easement but it’s still under review.” “That’s true they don’t have the easement that’s required to install the segment that’s across the Oahe project,” said Larry Janis, Army Corps Of Engineers spokesman. Janis says there is no timetable on when the Dakota Access Pipeline easement will be granted, but the agency has issued a permission that allows the easement

This Picture Reveals How Much Of The Ocean We Don’t See collective-evolution

Image
When you wade into the water to cool off and enjoy the surf at the beach, there’s the safety of knowing your feet are touching the ocean’s floor. It feels, for a moment, much like the comfort of land. You are standing, you are aware of what’s beneath you. And then suddenly you’re not. You are whisked away by the waves and the current, as you use your limbs to keep you afloat. The knowingness of what is actually beneath you begins to disappear, and you are forced into allowing that realization to become okay. When you jump off a boat in the middle of the ocean, this idea is heightened even further. You are knowingly plunging yourself into a world you know little about. You have seen movies and documentaries, you’ve snorkeled, gone diving, and taken plenty of science classes — all meaningless in the face of the reality of the ocean’s vastness. It is not where you live day in and day out. It’s not made of homes with other humans, a government, a protective police force. It is the wild,

10 Ways To Move Through Your Subconscious Fears collective-evolution

What are you so afraid of? Pain, change, growth… Fear can be problematic when you let it overwhelm you. When you allow fear to sit in the driver’s seat you are living in the false belief that you are avoiding the inevitable discomfort that comes with journeying into the unknown realms of your heart and soul. But, there can only be one outcome: your life comes to a screeching halt. If you want to thrive, then stagnancy must go. Prana (life force energy) is the nature of who we are. It embodies movement, creativity, expansion, and evolution. It’s easy to let fear paralyze you, but you can be empowered to consciously recognize the fear and then lean into experiencing what’s underneath it. Fearlessness is a combination of vulnerability and courage. You need to have the vulnerability to ask for help and the courage to create a strategy and take action. Here are ten ways to eliminate the subconscious veil of fear that stops you from taking action in your life… Related:   The Breakthro

The World’s Largest Pyramid Is Hidden Under A Mountain In Mexico collective-evolution

Image
Though Egypt’s Great Pyramid in Giza remains the most discussed pyramid in the world, it’s not the biggest one in the world, that’s for sure. In fact, that title goes to Mexico’s  Great Pyramid of Cholula . The ancient Aztec temple in Puebla, Mexico, whose base is four times larger than Giza’s and has nearly twice the volume, is so often overlooked partly because it’s hidden underneath layers of dirt, causing it to appear more like a natural mountain than a place of worship. Even the famed explorer Hernán Cortés totally missed it, obliviously building a church directly on top of it. The Great Pyramid of Cholula, known to the locals as Tlachihualtepetl (man-made mountain), stands around 66 meters (216 feet) tall and 450 meters (1,475 feet) wide. Although archaeologists cannot seem to agree on who built the complex, it is thought to have been constructed at some point around 300 BCE. As for the story behind the mysterious complex, it goes that the Aztec city of Cholula was infiltra

Why Are There So Many Psychopaths in Positions of Power?

A 2010 study that examined a sample of 203 individuals from different companies’ management development programs revealed something interesting. It was found that about 3% of business managers scored in the psychopath range while the incidence of psychopathy in the general population is approximately 1%. So why are there so many psychopaths in senior management positions? The study A more recent study, published in 2014 in the Journal of Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology , shed new light on the behavior of psychopaths, which could explain this phenomenon. During an experiment, a group of people were given a standard test of psychopathy. At the same time, the participants were shown a series of picture aimed to test their levels of empathy. For this purpose, the researchers measured their galvanic skin response to examine their emotional reaction to the shown pictures. The research showed that psychopaths with average or high levels of intelligence were able to control their galva

Mercury Retrograde In Virgo: Setting New Standards For Ourselves collective-evolution

Image
The planet Mercury is now retrograde in Virgo. It began on August 30th/31st, a few days before a Solar Eclipse in the same sign, and will last until September 21st/22nd, depending on your location. From our perspective on Earth, it looks as if Mercury is going backwards because of the relationship between both Earth’s and Mercury’s orbit around the Sun. Accordingly, astrologers observe and interpret retrograde planets in a unique way compared to when they appear to be forward moving. Retrogrades are recognized as a time when we are reworking how we orientate ourselves with the themes and energies of that specific planet in a specific sign. Mercury started its pre-retrograde phase on August 10th; therefore certain things that have been put in place or events that have occurred, between then and the 30th, will influence the following three weeks of the retrograde itself. This is an insightful time, as we need to pay careful attention to what the universe is trying to show us in order t

Akon Provides Electricity To 80 Million Africans collective-evolution

Image
Here in the west, Akon is a celebrity mostly known by his musical hits like “Locked Up,” “Lonely,” “Belly Dancer,” and “Ghetto” to name just a few. But his most amazing noteworthy achievement and legacy, which has not been mentioned much in the mainstream western media, is that through his entrepreneurial endeavors stemming from the success that he had through his music career, he has changed the fate and quality of life of millions of Africans through his Akon Lights Africa Project. Akon sidestepped the political challenges and roadblocks stemming from the oil industry by partnering with a Chinese solar power manufacturer and founding a renewable solar powered energy company that is currently providing electricity to approximately 16 million Africans in 15 countries, and this number continues to rise everyday. By late 2017, it is estimated that Akon Lights Africa will be providing electricity to 80 million Africans.  There are currently 600 million Africans in remote areas who have

Donald Duck Cartoon From 1959 Teaches Sacred Geometry collective-evolution

Image
I’ve always had difficulty understanding sacred geometry — or at least, I did, until I came across this Disney cartoon from 1959 that features Donald Duck teaching the concept to children. Who would have thought that something like this even existed? Donald in Mathmagic Land is a 27-minute educational film featuring the one and only Donald Duck. Released on June 26, 1959, it soon became the most popular educational film ever released by Disney. Walt Disney himself said, “The cartoon is a good medium to stimulate interest. We have recently explained mathematics in a film and in that way excited public interest in this very important subject.” The video features a group described as a secret club of “Eggheads,” their symbolic emblem a pentagram. The Masonic implications here seem clear, but of course, there’s no way to know for sure. Many people have theorized that Disney was an avid member of the Free Masons, even being among the few to reach the highest level, the 33 rd degree, wh

The Effects Of Negative & Positive Positive Emotions On Our Health collective-evolution

Image
The existence of the mind/body connection was once completely shunned by mainstream science, with many dismissing it as mere pseudoscience. Fortunately, the conversation has shifted in recent years, thanks in large part to new scientific publications that  have made it quite clear that our thoughts, feelings, and emotions play a crucial role in regulating our overall health and biology. There are several examples from different areas of science that prove this. Going through all of the evidence showing the strength of this connection can be a daunting task, which is why this article will provide just a few examples to get you started. It should serve as a good introduction to the unfortunate reality that much has been overlooked when it comes to the business of healing and medicine. The HeartMath Institute Some of the most intriguing research in this field comes from the HearthMath institute. Their research has shed light on a number of fascinating discoveries about how our emotion

The Self-Help Trap: Are You In It? collective-evolution

Imagine you are studying for a test, and once you truly understand the subject and have memorized all that is needed to pass the test… you buy another book to study and understand the same stuff you already understand. Sure, maybe it helped you bring a slightly different perspective to help with your test. Great! But then you get another book about roughly the same subject. And another. And 2 more. And 12 more. And you just keep swallowing content you already “get” and never actually get up and go pass the damn test. I see this a lot in the spiritual and self-development crowd, and I have been guilty of the same. We tend to forget that books, words, and perspectives may be pointers to important truths, but the real test — the real advancement and “training ground” — happens in real life. In YOUR journey. Not on paper, not on a screen, not even in your head, but in the very moment you are in, waiting to be lived, felt, and explored. Much like we can get addicted to looking at a cell
