There Is More Than Just One ‘Area 51’ & They Exist In Places You Won’t Believe Is Possible collective-evolution

Image
“It is ironic that the U.S. would begin a devastating war, allegedly in search of weapons of mass destruction, when the most worrisome developments in this field are occurring in your own backyard. It is ironic that the U.S. should be fighting monstrously expensive wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, allegedly to bring democracy to those countries, when it itself can no longer claim to be called a democracy, when trillions, and I mean thousands of billions of dollars have been spent on projects about which both the Congress and the Commander in Chief have been kept deliberately in the dark.” – Paul Hellyer   (Former Canadian Defence Minister) It was only three years ago (2013) that the Central Intelligence Agency finally admitted to the existence of Area 51. Although it didn’t ‘officially’ exist before the CIA made this admission, it was pretty clear that something secretive was going on in the Nevada desert. That secretive something would be the testing of secret aircraft and technology

Meet Mosha, The First Elephant To Receive A Prosthetic Leg (VIDEO) collective-evolution

Technology has opened our eyes to possibilities one could have never imagined to become a reality.  And while there is plenty of discussion on how scientific advancements have made our world a lazier, more dependent place, they have also achieved so much worth celebrating, like technology being used to help animals with missing limbs become mobile again. Mosha is an Asian elephant who lost her right foreleg from a landmine explosion, and she’s the world’s first recipient of an elephant prosthesis. Orthopedic surgeon Therdchai Jivacate designs prosthetic legs for humans and other animals through the  Friends of the Asian Elephant Foundation in Thailand, and had the pleasure of taking on the challenge of making a prosthetic leg for Mosha. “When I saw Mosha, I noticed that she had to keep raising her trunk into the air in order to walk properly,” Jivacate said . Though Jivacate ran into numerous design and biomechanics problems along the way, he was was able to make a 15-kilogram (33

A Tiny Sustainable Three Story House Truck – Take A Look Inside collective-evolution

Image
The average house size has increased substantially in recent decades, and in response, there is a growing movement of people seeking alternatives to large, expensive, and energy-intensive housing. Australia currently holds the record for the country with the largest homes; the average size of a new Australian house increased from 162.2 square metres (1,742 sq feet) in 1984 to 227.6 square metres (2,444 sq feet) in 2003. The average new Australian home is now 10% bigger than even its U.S. equivalent.(1)  Australia is closely followed by the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand for having homes either over or just under 200 metres squared (2,200 sq feet). In contrast, there are a number of countries with significantly smaller homes as the standard, such as: Germany (109 m2), Japan (95 m2), Sweden (83 m2), UK (76 m2), China (60 m2) and Hong Kong (45 m2). While the trend over the last decade has been for larger homes, the tiny house movement is becoming popular among those wishing to be more sus

Confirmed: NASA Just Discovered Earth Has A Second Moon collective-evolution

Image
NASA has just declared that Earth appears to have a second moon that has been orbiting around our planet for nearly a century. This second moon doesn’t quite resemble the one we’re used to seeing in the starry night sky, however. Actually an asteroid, it has been discovered in an orbit around the sun that keeps it as a constant companion of Earth, and will continue to do so for centuries. This new asteroid, called 2016 HO3, is too distant to be considered a true satellite of our planet, but is the best and most stable example of a near-Earth companion we’ve yet to come across. “Since 2016 HO3 loops around our planet, but never ventures very far away as we both go around the sun, we refer to it as a quasi-satellite of Earth,” explained Paul Chodas , manager of NASA’s Center for Near-Earth Object (NEO) Studies at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. “One other asteroid — 2003 YN107 — followed a similar orbital pattern for a while over 10 years ago, but it has since

When I Read The Letter I Wrote To My Future Self Last Year, I Was Almost In Tears collective-evolution

Dear Diary, Today was an exhausting day, but I’m hoping that my hard work will eventually pay off with that promotion. The good news is that Julie, that cute girl in accounting, smiled at me. YAY! If that’s what comes to mind when someone suggests that you begin journaling, your opinion is in desperate need of a fresh perspective. What was once seen as a temporary fad, primarily used by teenage girls to gossip and vent, has now become a powerful tool for anyone looking to inspire themselves, boost their creativity, reflect, or set goals. Need a reason to try it out? How about any of these 10 that the Huffington Post released in 2015? Not enough? Try the 100 that John Robson and Patrice Steen came up with in the late 90s. In June of last year, after seeing a friend of mine share their experience with it via facebook, I came across a website that easily allows you to send an e-mail to your future self. Having completely forgot about it, I recently received the e-mail I sent to myse

“The Black Budget.” This Is What The ‘Secret Government’ Doesn’t Want You To Know collective-evolution

Image
Countless amounts of academics, presidents and other politicians have told humanity that a secret government is really pulling the strings when it comes to who holds the balance of power on our planet. Multiple studies have emerged showing that a very small group of people and the corporations they run basically have control over all of the worlds resources. According to the estimates of some, the US government alone classifies up to 500 million pages of documents every single year, for the purpose of protecting ‘national security.’ Our world is drenched in secrecy, and it’s reached a point where we don’t really know what’s happening on our planet. Our main source of information is corporate media, this is a big problem. Who were these politicians? Senator Daniel K. Inouye,  the highest ranking Asian-American politician in United States history, serving the democratic party from 1963 until his death in 2012, stressed the fact that  “there exists a shadowy government with its own Air F

What Big Pharma Doesn’t Want You To Know About Dopamine & Serotonin Imbalances Within The Brain collective-evolution

There are many uninformed individuals when it comes to knowing what’s happening within the modern day medical industry, and by no fault of their own. The world of medical science, unfortunately, has been plagued with scientific fraud and pharmaceutical company influence. The words ‘big pharma’ are far from a conspiracy theory, which is why so many physicians and doctors in influential positions are trying to let the world know. For example, Dr Richard Horton, current editor-in-chief of The Lancet is one of them. He stated that half of all the published literature could be false.  Mark Mattson, the current Chief of the Laboratory of Neuroscience at the National Institute on Aging said that pharmaceutical companies can’t make money off of healthy people, which is why there is no funding for research and why there’s a lot of pressure for regular eating patterns forced upon us by the food industry. Physician and longtime Editor in Chief of the New England Medical Journal , Dr Marcia Ang

Larvicide Manufactured By Sumitomo, Not Zika Virus, True Cause Of Brazil’s Microcephaly Outbreak? collective-evolution

While many of us have only become aware of the Zika virus recently, due to the microcephaly outbreak in Brazil, it has been of concern for about 70 years. And while you may know of it, do you know exactly what it is? Zika virus is a sexually-transmitted infection. The condition causes babies to be born with unusually small heads and is said to have gone from an average of about 150 cases annually to over 5,000 in a mere four months. But despite how mainstream media has represented it, the World Health Organization (WHO) making the announcement declaring it a global health emergency without explaining much about it, and the Brazilian government even admitting that their “overly generous parameters resulted in dramatic over-reporting of the rare condition public health officials have associated with the Zika virus, which has been dubbed by the media as the ‘shrunken head’ virus,” the association may be a false positive. The New York Times reported : Of the cases examined so far, 404

You can also find more links to the science behind fasting in the articles below we’ve written on the subject: Neuroscientist Shows What Fasting Does To Your Brain & Why Big Pharma Won’t Study It Scientists Discover That Fasting Triggers Stem Cell Regeneration & Fights Cancer Intermittent fasting can provide many important health benefits, including improving your insulin/leptin sensitivity, helping your body more effectively burn fat for fuel, increasing mental clarity and overall energy levels, and more.  For years I agonized over finding the diet, eating schedule, and workout routine that best suited my goals and lifestyle. It took up a ton of mental energy and time. However, it didn’t matter what I tried or how enthusiastic I was about a new plan of attack for my diet and fitness, sooner or later I would fall off track for

Scientists Create a Mind-Reading System That Projects Your Thoughts on a Screen

Image
In the climate of global surveillance that surrounds our daily lives, the only safe place we can hide in is our own head. They are watching us through the surveillance cameras while everything we write, say and do online no longer belongs to the field of privacy. Only our thoughts and memories can’t be accessible to other people. Guess what? Not anymore. Scientists from the University of Oregon have invented a mind-reading system capable of reading people’s thoughts using brain scans and then project them on a screen. The related study, which was published in  The Journal of Neuroscience , involved 23 volunteers who were shown 1,000 color photos of random faces. During this session, their brains were connected to an fMRI machine that monitored their neurological activity. So was an artificial intelligence program that was aimed to read the brain activity of the volunteers and capture a mathematical description of the shown faces. In fact, this was the phase two of the experiment

Are You Deficient In Iodine? The Many Signs, & What To Do collective-evolution

Iodine is a fairly rare element in nature. While it’s found in large quantities in the ocean and is present in soil, it’s very low in many places around the world, including the soil in the United States. But iodine is essential to life, and is detected in every organ and tissue. It’s crucial for brain development in children, plays a central role in healthy function of the thyroid gland, and facilitates an efficient metabolism. Over the past 40 years in the developed world, iodine deficiency has increased more than fourfold , with nearly 74 percent of normal, “healthy” adults thought to no longer consume enough of this important element. Why We Are Deficient In Iodine 1. Bromine, found in baked goods, plastics, soft drinks, medications, pesticides, and more, makes its way into our lives in one way or another every single day, but it displaces iodine. 2. You may also not be eating enough iodine-rich foods, like eggs, fish, sea vegetables, and iodized salt. In fact, in 2008, researc
