Iceland Knows How To Stop Teen Substance Abuse But The Rest Of The World Isn’t Listening collective-evolution

I think it’s safe to say that most teenagers have tried and/or abused alcohol or illegal drugs, yet teen substance abuse rarely gets the attention it needs. Drugs and alcohol have a more detrimental effect on the underdeveloped brain, particularly since teens lack the ability to adequately assess risk, making them more likely to overindulge in substances. It’s this same lack that explains why people tend to be braver and more open to trying new experiences as teens than as adults. But this courage comes at a cost, as teens cannot adequately assess the risks of the substances they are taking. And schools aren’t doing nearly enough to educate them. I remember seeing presentations from a program called DARE, or Drug Abuse Resistance Education, when I was in school. Although we were taught to avoid drugs, the focus was more on avoiding criminal behaviour than protecting our bodies. There wasn’t much focus on long-term effects of drug use. They always maintained that abstinence from drug u

What If You Could Trade Your Skills With Others For Goods & Services Without The Use Of Money? collective-evolution

Image
Back in the day, not even that long ago really, people would trade services with each other. Maybe Jim Bob was an excellent mechanic and Mary Lou could make nice warm quilts. If they both needed the service that the other was able to offer, they would do a trade. This way, no money was needed and both parties got what they wanted. When exactly did we stop working for each other, and for corporations? Everyone has something to offer, but not everyone has the same skillset. What if we could trade our skills for services or things that we need, without the use or need for money? We could certainly start to do this right now with our neighbours, friends and family members. Now, thanks to technology, this idea is easier than ever and you can become a part of this new amazing network known as Simbi . What Is Simbi? Simbi is a new platform also known as the “Symbiotic Community.” This serves as a place where you can sign up and receive 100 Simbi credits right off the bat. From here, you ca

Supplements Exposed: How To Ensure You Are Getting Adequate Vitamins & Minerals collective-evolution

Many of us know that we probably aren’t getting all of the vitamins and nutrients we need to function at our best, and often we turn to supplements to make up for it, assuming we can get almost all of the vitamins and minerals we need through the various pills and powders we find in the drug store. Unfortunately, that’s not entirely true. There is a lot of misinformation out there about vitamin supplements, and while it may be a hard truth to swallow, for the most part, you’d be better off without them. Let me explain. While many of the popular vitamin brands are advertised as having 100% of your daily vitamin needs, this is only technically true. These vitamins are generally synthesized from an isolated source, which means your body has almost no idea what to do with them and just expels them through your urine, rendering them effectively useless. So even if you spend hundreds of dollars on supplements each month, if you aren’t eating a healthy, balanced diet, then there is a good ch

Quantum Vacuum & Zero Point Energy Access: Is “Free Energy” For All Actually Possible? collective-evolution

Image
“Free energy” is a term being tossed around these days, and not one that many within the new energy movement like to use. That’s because it’s not really “free,” or what we perceive “free” to be. It’s not like the power source for generating the energy to run these machines (discussed below in this article) is coming from nowhere. It’s coming from the quantum vacuum, which would seem to be available for our use in unlimited quantities, given the fact that it’s the invisible “stuff” that makes up our known entire universe, in which could be a sea of universes and dimensions. There is enough to go around. Sure, solar, wind, and other clean energy initiatives are great, and the more the better, but the world has been completely blinded by the fact that there are many more advanced ways to generate clean energy that could revolutionize our world in several different paradigm changing ways. “Much to my surprise, these concepts have been proven in hundreds of laboratories around the world,

Ikaria, Greece: Where People Live Longer Than You Do

Image
Maybe it’s the crystal blue waters and rocky shores against a mountainous backdrop, idyllic to any discerning traveler’s eye, or that the old simply forget to die, but Ikaria, Greece is like few places on this planet. With octogenarians who can boast being married for sixty-five years, and most of the community walking at least a few kilometers a day, there are a few immediately apparent hints as to why people outlive those in our own countries. Other secrets of the locals are harder to unearth. Image credit: National Geographic After all, Ikaria may look post-card perfect, but it isn’t much different than many other Greek isles, or for that matter, much of the Mediterranean. Ikaria is about 30 miles from the Turkish coast, but people here live at least a decade longer, on average, then anyone in Turkey, Monaco, Italy, Spain, France, or mainland Greece, let alone the U.S. or other industrialized nations. The many 100-plus residents aren’t just existing into their old-age, they thri

347 Bee Species Dangerously Close to Extinction

Albert Einstein stated that if bees disappeared from the surface of the earth, the human race would follow in 4 short years. Of 4,337 native bee species in North American and Hawaii just researched, 347 are precariously close to full-stop extinction. No bees, no food, people. No morning coffee. No roses. No arugula for your salad. Bees pollinate 30 to 80 percent of our food crops, and 90 percent of wild plants and flowers. If you haven’t been concerned about the bees’ fight against herbicides, pesticides, and other toxic chemicals used in the industrial agricultural model it’s definitely time to take notice. In a report just released by the Center for Biological Diversity, scientists found that nearly one in four bee species is imperiled and at increasing risk of extinction . 347 bees species are close to extinction, but 700 species are in trouble . Kelsey Kopec, a native pollinator researcher at the Center for Biological Diversity and author of the study said, “The evidence is

How A Devastating Burning Man Experience Shifted My Perspective On Life collective-evolution

Image
I’m going to start off by saying that I’m no expert at anything Burning Man, and I don’t claim or pretend to be, either. I was a “virgin” burner this year and may well be one forever. In my circle of friends, I’m viewed as the expert, but I think that’s just because none of them have ever been there or would even consider going at all. This past August (2016), I left my family to travel out to Black Rock City to see what all the hype was about. I had family and work constraints and was only able to stay for four days, and flew in on a tiny charter plane directly into the playa. In those few short (or very long) days, I had one of the most intense and transformational experiences of my life. The Playa Environment The environment there is, on the one hand, absolutely majestic — a desert with some mountains in the background and the most magical painted skies at sunrise and sunset; you literally can’t believe your eyes as you watch the colours develop in the distance. On the other hand

8 Ways The Global Elite Manipulate Our Perception of Reality collective-evolution

Image
We are all free-thinkers. We hold the ability to form our own opinions, daydream, overthink, critically think, and even conjure up tales of adventure and loss using our creative minds. Our minds are separate from the Self, so even though the mind is essentially an illusion, it can be thought to represent a portion of our individuality. Have you ever thought about how much of your thoughts are truly and authentically your own? The fact of the matter is that we are subject to propaganda, false advertising, and other methods of manipulating our thoughts and perceptions every day. For a long time, the elite have used different tools to influence our thoughts and actions, a tactic often referred to as frequency control. Here are 8 ways the elite manipulate our perception of reality: 1. Mass Marketing It’s practically impossible to escape mass marketing advertisements in North America now. Even if you live in a rural area, you’re bound to come across a giant McDonald’s sign eventually. W

BREAKING: Wikileaks Released “Vault 7,” The Largest Publication of Secret CIA Files Ever collective-evolution

We’ve been pushing for disclosure, and whether the elite like it or not, it’s starting to happen! In what’s now considered the largest ever publication of confidential CIA documents, Wikileaks has just unveiled what they’re calling “Vault 7.” Vault 7 is comprised of 8,761 documents, which Wikileaks’ Founder  Julian Assange says embodies, “the entire hacking capacity of the CIA.” What’s more is that the whistleblower is already being compared to Edward Snowden, as he/she has exposed the hacking skills of the CIA just as Snowden did with the NSA. Wikileaks’ anonymous source said in a statement that they’d like to spur a public debate regarding   the “security, creation, use, proliferation and democratic control of cyberweapons.” What Exactly Is Vault 7? On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, Wikileaks released part one, titled “Year Zero,” of its new series of leaks on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Wikileaks explains how the documents got into their hands within their initial Vaul

I Was Sprayed With Insecticide Flying to Australia: Linked to Brain Tumors, Parkinson’s

Image
Last week I took a flight from California to Australia. After a long 14 hour flight, everyone stood up and eagerly anticipated leaving the plane. Instead of getting off, we were informed that the plane would be sprayed with a “non toxic” insecticide. I quickly grabbed my thick jacket, put my hood over my head, covered my face and made sure every breath I took was filtered through the jacket. Flight attendants walked up and down the isles, spraying the luggage bins and the passengers almost directly. I waited for about 10 minutes while they made us sit in the fumes. I heard a few people cough. When we finally got up to leave the plane, a flight attendant asked me if I was ok because I was covering my face and I said “of course, just avoiding breathing this, it’s toxic.” He matter of factly responded “it’s non toxic.” I replied “of course it’s toxic, everything that is an insecticide is toxic.” What I should have showed him is that flight attendants like him have gotten brain tum

Colorado Sold Over $1.1 Billion In Cannabis Last Year — Money That Didn’t Go To Drug Cartels collective-evolution

Since legalizing cannabis across the entire state, Colorado has seen some amazing profits. In 2016, the first state to legalize marijuana for medical as well as recreational use has sold nearly $1.1 billion worth of cannabis and related products. Wow. Think about all that money that didn’t go to drug cartels and other various illegal dealers. And what about the tax? That is a lot of tax on $1 billion! How Much Money Was Made From Taxes? Colorado has three different kinds of taxes on its recreational cannabis sales: the standard 2.9% state tax, a 10% sales tax, and a 15% excise tax on wholesale transfers. In October alone, $6 billion was collected in excise tax off of a staggering $82.8 million in sales, bringing the yearly tax total to $49.7 million, well above the $40 million mark – a major point of discussion during the 2012’s Amendment 64 campaign. $40 million of those taxes will go toward school construction projects, and the leftover remaining excise tax will go into the stat

Venus Is Now Retrograde: A Time To Reflect On Our Relationships and Values collective-evolution

Image
Venus is retrograde from March 4th until April 15th. It has been building up since January 30th, when Venus entered what is called the “pre-shadow” period. When a planet goes retrograde, our perspective here on Earth makes it appear to be going backwards in the sky. Unlike Mercury Retrograde, Venus Retrogrades occur less frequently, every 19 months, but they last about twice as long. Although both retrogrades have some similarities in regards to how they might affect your social life, Venus still presents a much different vibe. Retrogrades are a time to revisit, reflect on, and make adjustments to things represented by that planet. Venus rules over love, intimate relationships, friendships, values, money, beauty, and overall attractability. It is associated with our passions, creativity, pleasures, and tastes. We had a Solar Eclipse in Pisces and a Lunar Eclipse in Leo in the weeks leading up to this Venus retrograde, which will also have a strong influence over the coming months.

Declassified CIA Report Exposes 25 Years of U.S. Plans To Destabilize Syria collective-evolution

We’re in the midst of something that’s never happened in human history. Since the birth of the industrial revolution, our planet has been plagued by war. In the midst of it all, what has really transpired behind the scenes — and the true causes of these conflicts — has been hidden behind a screen of misinformation and secrecy. Some historians estimate that the U.S. government alone classifies 500 million pages of documents every single year. An article written for the Guardian in June of 2013 raised this issue, but failed to mention how national security has become an excuse to keep secrets. Is the U.S. government really classifying information for the safety of its people? Do they truly keep secrets for the sake of national security, or is there some ulterior motive at play? Many believe this secrecy represents one way for the global elite to continue puppeteering governments all over the world, to create chaos, and to justify the infiltration of other countries and a heightened n
