The 100 Most Overpaid CEOs & How Much They Make – Look How Ridiculous This Is collective-evolution

Image
CEO pay continues to skyrocket at an exponential pace, as do the wages of the top executives beneath them. This is that ‘rat race’ we all live in, which sees all of us chasing money — at the expense of nearly everything else. While money is admittedly necessary at this moment to survive and put food on the table, how much is enough? If you view social issues like poverty to be the result of a lack of resources and money, why do so few of us question the current wealth allocation and distribution on the planet? If we were to take very small percentages of pay from the elite ‘1’ percent, we could use that money to feed, clothe, and house everybody on the planet. As a result of this skyrocketing trend, the money of millions of people with pensions, IRAs, and 401 (k) plans continues to be expropriated, and there appears to be nothing we can do about it. Robert Reich, an American political economist, explains the severity of the situation in...

Watch: A Powerful Video Gives Families A Much Needed Wake-Up Call collective-evolution

Image
Dead or alive, who would you most like to have dinner with? It’s a question that many of us have been asked before. I personally have had it posed to me a number of times, both by friends when bored and even once on an awkward first (and ultimately last) date. When asked, most of us will draw upon our memory banks to come up with people of influence, celebrity crushes, or in the case of a first date scenario, the name of a person that will make us seem as sophisticated and interesting as possible. The question seemingly has no right or wrong answer, but a social experiment run in Australia by Master Foods left parents feeling as if they managed to answer incorrectly. For the experiment, the above-mentioned question was first posed to parents and then later to their children, each time without the other being around to influence their response. While I’m sure a number of other participants that didn’t make the final commercial cut didn’t give the answer the filmmakers...

Are You Missing The World’s Beauty? Try Seeing The World In The Most Beautiful Way Possible collective-evolution

Life can change in an instant. My first instance was when I got diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease five years ago. My second was October 15th, 2013, the day I collapsed from undiagnosed co-infections. My third happened just last week. It involved a balinese bead cap, a mischievous cat, and a lecture by Dr. Wayne Dyer. It was a Wednesday afternoon. I sat at my kitchen table with tears streaming down my face, a pair of jeweler’s pliers lying forgotten in my hands. Snow fell lightly outside the window as I sat in hushed silence, listening to Dyer recount the story of holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl, a man who willed himself to survive by forcing himself to find the beauty in everything. My eyes welled as I heard him describe the first-hand horrors of what he endured, and how so many died the day they thought rescue would come, to no avail. Frankl, renowned neurologist and author, believed they died that day because all hope and beauty seemed lost. He attributes his survival to res...

The Age of Toxicity: The Link Between Stress, Magnesium, & Disease collective-evolution

Our world is invaded with toxicity, radiation, and synthetic materials thanks to toxic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, vaccinations, GMO foods, and more. And while mainstream media continues to live under the barrage of government-approved laws, labels, and ideals, there is constant research disapproving the safety of so many things occurring in our world. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 60 percent of adults in the United States aren’t getting the estimated average requirement for magnesium. The recommended daily dietary amount of magnesium is a mere 300-400 mg , however, which is far below how much of this precious and paramount mineral people actually require. This means the average American adult is truly starved of it, leading to both malnourishment and disease. A truly healthy dose of magnesium ought to be around the 1,000 mg range, due to cellular stresses that cause magnesium levels to drop significantly. Radiation, chemicals, and heavy metals put an...

Feel Like A Slave To The System? 6 Ways You Can Unplug Yourself From The Matrix collective-evolution

There is a popular meme that is shared by many alternative media outlets all the time which reads: “There is no way I was born to just pay bills and die.” Another popular one expresses a similar sentiment: “Get a job, go to work, get married, have children, follow fashion, watch tv, act normal, obey the law, save for old age… Now repeat after me: ‘I am free.’ ” While there is nothing inherently wrong with any of these things – we all want to be contributing members of society, and saving money for our old age is a wise course of action — there is also nothing wrong with feeling like this type of experience isn’t for you. In fact, many people can’t stand it. Whether it’s spending the majority of your growing life inside a classroom, or spending the majority of your adult life working, it can often feel like the realities of modern life force us to neglect ourselves. As a result, many of us begin to feel depressed, because we are not putti...

Flint Citizens Drink Poison While Nestle Pumps 200 Gallons Of Fresh Water From Michigan Each Minute collective-evolution

Image
As you’ve probably already heard, Flint, Michigan is currently in the midst of a water crisis. Children have been taken to hospitals with reports of irreversible brain damage, and the federal government has now declared a state of emergency. How did this happen? In an effort to cut costs, Governor (Rick Snyder) decided to switch the city’s water supply from one of the cleanest (and largest) sources in the world, Lake Huron, to the corrosive and polluted water of the Flint river. At the same time, Michigan’s Governor was allowing the Nestle corporation to pump 200 gallons of fresh water per minute out of the state’s reserves. Nestle basically owns all of Michigan’s private water sources, and Deb Mchmoe, the head spokesperson for Nestle Michigan, is actually married to Governor Sender’s Chief of Staff. She was instrumental in the switch from the clean water supply to the corrosive one. While we are not implying that she knew it was poisoned, we do wonder why anyone w...

The U.N. Sent 3 Foreign Women To The U.S. To Assess Gender Equality & What They Found Shocked Them collective-evolution

In December of last year a delegation of human rights experts from the United Kingdom, Costa Rica, and Poland spent 10 days touring the United States to determine and report on the nation’s overall treatment of women. The three women comprising the delegation currently lead a United Nations working group on discrimination against women. For their report, they decided to visit Alabama, Oregon, and Texas to evaluate a wide range of U.S. policy and attitudes, as well as the US school, health, and prison systems. The representatives were both taken aback and appalled by the lack of gender equality they witnessed in America. According to their observations, the U.S. is falling far behind the international human rights standards in various areas, such as its 23 percent gender pay gap, unpaid maternity leave, and costly childcare. The women told reporters of their most telling moment of the trip — a visit to an Alabaman abortion clinic. “We were harassed. There were...
